DAY 1.- SAN CRISTOBAL - INTERPRETATION CENTER – TIJERETAS HILL - PUNTA CAROLA BEACH D
Welcome to Galapagos! Our guide awaits us at the airport to transfer us to the hotel and in the afternoon we will meet an interesting place that will inform us about the natural and human history of the islands. Do you know how many inhabitants there are in Galapagos or what islands did Charles Darwin visit? Then we will continue through the dry forest to an impressive viewpoint to observe the acrobatic earwigs and on the beach to meet the charismatic sea lions. Accommodation in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno.
DAY 2. - ISLA LOBOS OR KICKER ROCKS B/BL
In a small boat we will sail near the west coast of San Cristobal until we reach a natural aquarium that we will explore while snorkeling. Great schools of fish, sea turtles, rays, white or black fin sharks are species that live in this fantastic place called Kicker Rocks. After this experience we will rest in a paradisiacal beach.
A small remnant of land where the frigates, blue footed boobies, marine iguanas and the graceful sea lions coexist forming a small paradise called Islas Lobos.
We will walk along a rocky path contemplating these species. Then, when swimming near the coast of this islet we can find the small and playful sea wolfs.
DAY 3.- TRANSFER TO SANTA CRUZ- HIGHLANDS – GARRAPATERO BEACH B/L
It will be worth navigating with the first sun rays because when you get to Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island you can see the legendary giant tortoises that walk around the humid zone of the island in search for food and water, we will also visit an impressive natural lava tunnel. In the afternoon we can rest on a beautiful organic sand beach (optional activity: kayaking).
DAY 4.- TRANSFER TO ISABELA – BREEDING CENTER - TINTORERAS B/L
Arrive at the splendid town of Puerto Villamil to visit the flamingo lagoon and the important breeding center for giant tortoises with almost flattened carapaces. Surrounding the coast it is possible to observe blue-footed boobies, pelicans and penguins; also marine iguanas. Snorkeling will be an activity that you will love doing.
DAY 5.- SIERRA NEGRA VOLCANO B/L
Walk to the edge of the largest and most complete volcanic caldera of the archipelago, surrounded by guava trees that attract Darwin's finches, who accompany us along the way. See basaltic black lava formations contrasted by the coppery volcanic soil and a wonderful view of nearby islands, this is what awaits us this day we will also enjoy an exquisite lunch in a cozy local farm.
DAY 6.- TRANSFER TO FLOREANA – HIGHLANDS - LOBERIA B/BL/D
After breakfast, we will board our boat to navigate to the mysterious island but also one of the most lavish, this is Floreana. There we will be greeted by marine iguanas and the occasional marine wolfs. We will visit the humid zone that keeps the human history of the archipelago since the time of the pirates, who created caves to spend the night and still remain intact. We will also listen to the history of the Baroness of Floreana and the era of the Germans, in addition we will visit the rescue center where you will find descendants tortoises of Floreana. In the afternoon we can snorkel in a small but impressive bay, habitat of sea turtles. In the evening we will enjoy a special dinner.
DAY 7.- TRANSFER TO SANTA CRUZ – DAY AT LEISURE B
The last navigation in our boat will be to Santa Cruz, after sailing for two hours, we will arrive at Puerto Ayora where we will stay and you will have a free day. Tortuga Bay is the best option if you want to enjoy the best beach on the island or we can go to Las Grietas which is a sensational place to swim. Accommodation at the hotel of your choice.
DAY 8.- TRANSFER OUT TO THE AIRPORT B
Goodbye Galapagos! Today we will leave the hotel to the Baltra airport to take our return flight to mainland Ecuador.
