DAY 1.- SAN CRISTOBAL - INTERPRETATION CENTER - TIJERETAS - PUNTA CAROLA BEACH D
Welcome to the beautiful island! Our guide awaits us at the airport to transfer us to the hotel and in the afternoon we will meet an interesting place that will inform us about the natural and human history of the islands. Do you know how many inhabitants there are in Galapagos or what islands did Charles Darwin visit? Then we will continue through the dry forest to an impressive viewpoint to observe the acrobatic earwigs and on the beach to meet the charismatic sea lions. Accommodation in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno.Dinner at a local restaurant.
DAY 2.- PUERTO CHINO BEACH - CERRO COLORADO - JUNCO LAGOON B/L
Puerto Chino is an attractive beach for its waves and landscape, there we can find curious Darwin's finches and yellow warbler that will surprise us for their meekness. Then we will visit the endemic tortoise breeding center of the island, there we will know more about these conservation projects. After the visit we will have lunch in an agricultural farm of the area to go to the Junco, which is the only freshwater lagoon that we can find in the archipelago, we will ascend by a stairway surrounded by cacaotillo that is an endemic plant until we reach the edge of the lagoon. In the afternoon return to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno.
DAY 3.- FLOREANA - HIGHLANDS - PLAYA NEGRA BEACH - ISABELA ISLAND B/L
After breakfast, we will board our boat to navigate to the mysterious island but also one of the most lavish, this is Floreana. There we will be greeted by marine iguanas and the occasional marine wolf. Next we will visit the rescue center where there are descendants of the Floreana turtles, this is in the humid area that also keeps the human history of the archipelago since the time of the pirates, who created caves for the night and are still intact. We will also hear the story of the Baroness of Floreana, Dr. Ritter and the Wittmer family, then return to Puerto Velasco Ibarra to have lunch at a local restaurant and enjoy the black beach before taking our boat and continue sailing to Isabela.
DAY 4.- SIERRA NEGRA VOLCANO B/L
Walk to the edge of the largest and most complete volcanic caldera of the archipelago, surrounded by guava trees that attract Darwin's finches, who accompany us along the way. See basaltic black lava formations contrasted by the coppery volcanic soil and a wonderful view of nearby islands, this is what awaits us this day we will also enjoy an exquisite lunch in a cozy local farm.
DAY 5. - TINTORERAS (WITH SUPPLEMENT SNORKELING IN CABO ROSA) - SANTA CRUZ B
In a small boat we will go around the coast where, depending on the season, it is possible to observe blue footed boobies, pelicans and penguins; we will also see marine iguanas while we walk on the islet. Snorkeling will be an activity that you will love * (In case our main interest is to snorkel, we can sail to Cabo Rosa, this is a marine paradise, we can observe a great diversity of species such as reef fish, sea turtles, it is possible observe reef sharks and seahorses).
We will have free time to rest or eat something, before taking the boat that will take us to Santa Cruz Island, to the town of Puerto Ayora where we will spend the night.
DAY 6. - UNINHABITED ISLAND B/L
As in the documentaries ... we will sail in mini yachts to visit an island where the famous Galapagos animals live in their natural state. Being able to contemplate them a few meters for several minutes will help us understand why Galapagos is a natural laboratory.
The islands to choose from are:
North Seymour: Nesting area of blue-footed boobies, frigate birds both: common and magnificent and other species.
South Plaza: The home of the Galapagos land iguanas and several seabirds such as the singular forked gull and the sublime tropical bird.
Whatever the destination we will have a walk, depending on the island the level of complexity goes from easy to moderate. We also have a snorkeling activity.
Return in the afternoon to the hotel in Puerto Ayora and farewell dinner.
DAY 7. - HIGHLANDS -TRANSFER OUT B
Our last day in Galapagos and we will visit the humid zone where we will find giant turtles of dome-like shell in natural state, some feeding others cooling in pools of water, we will also visit an impressive lava tunnel. Later we will continue on our bus to the Itabaca channel to transfer to the airport in Baltra and take our flight back to the mainland.
