GALAPAGOS AL NATURAL (SAN CRISTÓBAL - SANTA CRUZ)

ITINERARY 5D/4N

DAY 1. TRANSFER IN – INTERPRETATION CENTER - TIJERETAS (FRIGATEBIRD HILL)

Welcome to Galapagos! Our guide awaits us at the airport to transfer us to the hotel and in the afternoon we will arrive to such an interesting place that will inform us about the natural and human history of the islands ... Do you know how many inhabitants there are in Galapagos and which islands did Charles Darwin visit? Then we will continue through the dry zone to the top of small hill where we will find a viewpoint for looking the Tijeretas (frigatebird). After photos we will continue walking to a special place to see sea lions in particular. Accommodation in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno.

DAY 2. KICKER ROCK ORISLAS LOBOS B/BL

In a small boat we will sail near the west coast of San Cristobal until we reach a natural aquarium that we will explore while snorkeling. Great schools of fish, sea turtles, rays, white or black fin sharks are species that live in this fantastic place called Kicker Rocks. After this experience we will rest in a paradisiacal beach.

A small remnant of land where the frigates, blue footed boobies, marine iguanas and the graceful sea lions coexist forming a small paradise called Islas Lobos.

We will walk along a rocky path contemplating these species. Then, when swimming near the coast of this islet we can find the small and playful sea lions

Accommodation in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno.

DAY 3. TRANSFER TO SANTA CRUZ – HIGHLANDS - ECCD or TORTUGA BAY B/L

It will be worth navigating with the first sun rays because when arriving at Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz Island we will be able to observe the legendary giant tortoises that walk freely through the humid zone of the island in search for food and water. In the afternoon we can learn about the hard work that The Galapagos National Park and the Charles Darwin Research Station have done to preserve the unique species of the islands or we can rest in one of the best beaches of the archipelago. This is Tortuga Bay.

DAY 4. UNINHABITED ISLAND B/L

As in the documentaries ... we will sail in mini yachts to visit an island where only the famous Galapagos animals live in their natural state. Being able to contemplate them from a few meters for several minutes will help us understand why this archipelago is a natural laboratory.

The islands to choose from are:

North Seymour: nesting area for blue footed boobies and the two species offrigatebirds that exist in Galapagos: common and magnificent.

South Plaza: the home of the Galapagos land iguanas and several seabirds such as the swallow-tailed gull and the sublime tropical bird.

Bartholomew: this island is an icon of Galapagos! Here we will see how the process of formation of the islands is and the first small inhabitants who dare to fight to survive on petrified lava. At the top we will have one of the best landscapes of the archipelago and enjoy a fantastic snorkeling.

Whatever the destination would be, we will have a walk and snorkeling.

Return in the afternoon to the hotel in Puerto Ayora.
